Solar
astroimaging is when you take photos or videos of
the sun. You must have a proper filter installed on the
scope or high-focal length camera lens before attempting to do this.
For a setup on a normal scope you can either use the
piggyback method,
prime focus method, or
afocal method. You must have a solar filter such as
this installed at all times. You can also buy special Ha
scopes (not Ha filters) such as
this one to get more detailed images.
Generally, Solar imagers use
Registax (if Registax 6 does not work, try Registax 5).
