We are still adding videos to our TAS video web site:
Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas on Vimeo

The videos are being selected based on the beginner in the Astronomy hobby. We try NOT to post up very technical videos that may be more appropriate for a college Astronomy student or the expert amateur astronomer.

Videos are being added all the time so check the site above on a regular basis.

    Clear skies!

Astronomical League Awards Coordinator- Change at TAS

Richard Brown is retiring from his role as our Astronomical League Awards Coordinator. John Rudd has volunteered to assume the duties of this important TAS position.

I would personally like to thank Richard Brown for his wonderful work coordinating the awards for the last 8 years; and also sincerely thank John Rudd for volunteering to become our AL Awards Coordinator.

Please thank Richard for his great work during the last EIGHT YEARS! He has never failed the club in all of those years!

John Rudd will assume these duties beginning in mid-December. As some of you know, John is an Astronomical League Master Observer, which means he has completed over TEN Astronomical League award clubs. I believe he is now up to FOURTEEN clubs with his recent award for Dark Nebula observing! John is a wonderful observer who shares his love of the night sky at many TAS public observing events, and at the Copper Breaks Star Walk events during the summer.

Please thank Richard and John for their great service and work for the Texas Astronomical Society! I know that we all wish them clear skies!
