Default D.I.Y telescope items selling advice?

Hey all, If this post is not aloud please remove or move to where appropriate but I was after some advice. I am looking to sell some D.I.Y telescope items that I have been given by a friend but have no idea on what the going prices are and where best to sell so was hoping someone could provide advise on this. I know there is ebay but was wondering if there was any specific places? can selling be done on here? and what the items are roughly worth (Would need to be collection from Stratford-Upon-Avon). I have a cardboard tube which measures 48" long, 2 thirds an inch thick and the inside diameter of the circle is 10". I have a Mirror which measures 8" diameter by 1 and half inch thick, however this has had the grinding started so has a slight concave ground into the surface but seems in good condition. I also have some grinding powders which are labelled Silicon Carbide 80c, 120c, 220c, 320c. Emery Powders 125e and 50e, and cerium oxide rouge. Not sure if there is enough to complete the mirror but seems to be enough to at least get a good way through, my knowledge is very limited

    Thanks
    Chris

Sorry, but a half-ground mirror and cardboard tube will not attract any buyers.
Were it even a perfectly configured and coated, a 8 inch mirror you would have to compete with a commercial 8 inch Dobsonian with base and eyepieces for $400
It is absolutely impractical and financially unviable to finish configuring the mirror ( if you could!) and pay to have it coated.
This is why we buy commercially produced, production line telescopes .
    Sorry to burst your bubble.
Some amateur telescope maker may take it on and will probably take it off your hands for nothing.
    Best you can expect.

Thanks for the reply goldstar, your not bursting my bubble, if i was to sell the stuff say for example on ebay I was only going to hope for around £30-£40 if anything at best was more wondering if it was even worth this and worth the hassle of putting it on ebay or what other places may be interested. Its more about getting rid of the items for space reasons ect as although I love astronomy I have no current intentions to build my own telescope as would not know where to start and it seemed a shame for the items to go to waste if could be used by someone who knew what they were doing

Best you can hope for is a DIY'er that may want to finish up the project. You can always poke around here and see if similar items are selling? U.K. Astronomy Buy & Sell

Thanks bladekeeper I will check it out, as I say the money side isn't too important to me as I was given them for free anyway and wasn't expecting them to be worth much, I just know very little on the D.I.Y side of the hobby so thought it worth getting the opinion of the more experienced and would just be nice to find someone who could put them to use. If I find they dont sell/more haste to sell than they are worth I will probably see if anyone wants them for free :-)
