    Default Fine Customer Service

    Hi all -

The replacement EQ5 mount from Sky-Watcher arrived today.

I guess it was easier to replace the entire mount rather than just the stepper motors. A hearty thank you to the technical support and the customer service departments at Sky-Watcher USA. They handled my problem with respect and in a timely fashion.

I will not hesitate to again purchase a Sky-Watcher product.

    Gene

When I was looking to buy the HEQ5 PRO mount, there seemed to be no place in the US that actually sold SW mounts here. You could only get Orion mounts. There are those that claim that the mounts are the same, I don't think so. Anyway, I had to order mine from Canada. I bought it from Brian at KWTelescopes in Kitchner, Ontario. I cannot recommend them enough. They did exactly what they say. They assembled and tested the mount before shipping. When I checked the alignment of the polar scope, it was dead on. It cost me more than the Orion mount, but now I will not trip over an invisible mount. Now if only the clouds were invisible. I have had the mount for a month and I have been chasing invisible stars all over the sky.

    Good luck,
