Default Problems with GoTo function on Meade Lxd75 mount

Everything so far has worked on my Lxd75 mount with the exception that I cannot align and use the goto function of the mount. After I have finished polar aligning, I'll turn on the mount and put in the time and date. It already knows my location, however when it chooses Vega to slew to, in ends up slewing looking down into the ground almost completely to the southern celestial pole. This is true with every star I've tryed to align it to. It ends up trying to look through the Earth to find stars that are overhead. Am I missing something completely obvious?

Are there any answers or suggestions to this problem? I'm experiencing the same issue.

OK this may sound like a stupid reply BUT this is something I have done. Is the scope mounted 180 deg out? I had exactly the same problem as you guys when I first tried to setup the scope.
In the end I used the arrows to ensure the mount was in the Home/Parked position, then watched as it slewed to a star I selected, once it was in position, THEN I mounted the tube to the mount.

Turn your scope 180 deg. I did the same error the first time I used the mount.
