    Default Exos-2gt

I'm thinking about getting one of these.

Anybody own these EXOS-2GT mounts? As I understand it they are the exact same Meade LXD75 mounts but with ball bearings on both axes and updated software. I don't know much else about them. The LXD75 was a pretty solid GEM that held way bigger scopes than my AR102. And the price is really attractive.

I'm not as interested in GoTo, but more about the tracking. I have very limited viewing areas around my yard, so I have to often pick up my mount and move it elsewhere to view different parts of the sky. Of course this messes up alignments. I just want something solid that can track, which these seem to be, as I don't have to use the GoTo.

Sure would be nice to hear from others.

Scott got one back in the spring: Finally!!! First light EXOS2-GT & Revolution imager.

He's traveling presently, but perhaps he'll have time this evening to lay some thoughts on you.
