    Default cg-5 mount and tube rings



    Hi everyone i plan on mounting my older meade8in starfinder reflector on a
    cg-5 mount my question is what tube rings do i need and where exactly would i find those that would work on the cg-5 mount a posted link would be amazzzing CLear skies EVERYONE!!

    I think you'll find the CG-5 is the same mount as the Skywatcher EQ5.
    You should ask the question of your retailer, but the Skywatcher rings should do the trick.

    Fitting rings to a mount is easy. The bolts go through the holes in the dovetail. Done.

    More important is to fit the rings to the OTA. For that, you need an exact fit. If you can find rings made for the Meade, use them. If not, you'll have to measure the outside diameter of the OTA accurately, and then try to find a set of rings that will fit that size.
