    EQ6 Versions are these

EQ6 - Standard version, tracking motors only, max slew speed x16. Can be upgraded to Synscan with an upgrade kit but its pricey. Upgrade kit contains new motors, control board and side panel plus handcontroller.

EQ6 Syntrek - Same basic mount as the GoTo, same motor control board (MCB) but no Synscan handcontroller. The mount can be made GoTo by hook up to a PC and handling the GoTo functions with some planetarium software and an external box.
The mount has tyhe same motors as the Synscan (GoTo) version so max slew is x384Can be upgraded to Synscan by buring the handcontroller.

EQ6 Pro - Full GoTo. Mount is identical to the Syntrek version but has the Synscan handcontroller.

NEQ6 series is identical internally to the EQ6 and shipped first with the 300P. Because the 300 is so large Synta gave the EQ6 a longer weight bar. Otherwsie the mount would have needed 4x 5kg counterweights which would have stressed the mount and run up shipping costs I expect.

Early NEQ6s were shipped with a weight bar extension. In all other respects they are identical to the EQ6.

Later NEQ6s were shipped with the weight bar extension AND two saddles. One for Vixen style and one for Losmandy. The saddle plates can be changed by removing three grub screws around the top of the DEC barrel.
The internals, bearings, motors, control boards etc are all identical to the EQ6.

All new EQ6s are of the NEQ6 type which is probably just to simplify shipping and logistics for SYnta and its distrubuters. Theres no real change apart from the weight bar extension, the saddle plates and the logo on the left side of the mount which now reads NEQ6.

    Hope thats of help.
Thirty spokes meet at the nave, because of the hole we may use the wheel.
A cup is moulded from clay, because of the hollow we may use the cup.
Four walls surround a hearth, because of the doors we may use the house.
Thus tools come from what exists, but use from what does not.
