Default Barlow vs Barlow for Newtonian Reflector

I'm about to purchase a Barlow 2x for my Celestron AstroMaster 130 EQ and was pretty set on the Orion Shorty 1.25" 2x Barlow.
However, money isn't too much of an issue and was looking to maybe get higher quality (3 elements vs 2 elements) Barlow.

If what I've read is correct information, for a reflector telescope, you want your Barlow to be as short as possible (ie. Orion Shorty Barlow is 3" length) for best results.

But then I saw what seems a higher quality Barlow in the Celestron X-CEL 2x Barlow 2x lens. I can't find any specifications as to it's length so I can compare to the Orion Barlow.
If I knew the length was the same as the Orion Shorty I'd go with the X-CEL, but I just dont know.

I'm looking for experienced advice as to which I should choose, or which one some of you would choose given my equipment.

I have an orion 2x shorty and a 3x xcel, though they are different in magnification I would say the xcel is a better quality barlow, I do my imaging with it, and it gives very good views.

Just bought the Explore Scientific 2X Focal Extender wich is similar to a Televue Powermate but at a smaller price. It's 2.5 inches long. I didn't have a chance to try it because of the cold, but it has some very good reviews.
Explore Scientific has a 20% sale right now.
    Good luck,

Thanks for the reply Dennis, I'm going to purchase the same. I have the Barlow Shorty 2X right now and the colors are lacking. This should clear that up with the 4 elements.
