Spent...LOL, I've already voted the maximum amout. But I get a kick out of the word spent. Few of us seem to ever be finished "spending". In fact, is there really an end where we can use the word "spent"?

Do you include cost of travelling to observing sites e.g petrol, car maintenance, air fares? It would be a bit more than you think!!

Thus far only about $350. My 12" Dob was a Christmas gift so I'm not counting that. With that money I've picked up Oberwerk 9x60 binos, a Telrad + riser, a Cheshire collimator, and an ES82 14mm. Looking at picking up a nice chair soon as well. I fully expect to get upwards of 2K once I start filling out my EP collection with some TeleVue.

I am quite sure I am over $6000. Am I done buying? I doubt it. But for now it is enough until I get better
at this hobby and need more or better gear.

I'm pretty new to this, but so far I would estimate that I've spent about $2,500.

If you count everything I own related to optical equipment, I'm in about 6k USD deep.
