| Well, I would have run with a Short Tube refractor on Alt Az, but you have already discounted that option. Pretty much only leaves the 90mm Mak. It would be nice for planets, but maybe a bit narrow in FOV for a great deal else. You can get the Skywatcher as an OTA and put it on a camera tripod, or cheap alt az Or you go for some larger size binocular, and camera tripod, or alt az Also check out this site [Registered users can see links. ] You never know what might turn up

The only decent thing I could find was a ~100mm Mak Cas with equatorial mount.
