Default Choosing My First Telescope

Hey everyone. I'm in search of my first telescope. i've done some researching and these are the two telescopes i've decided upon for now. Celestron NexStar 8 SE Telescope or Meade LXD75 SC-8AT Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope with AutoStar. It would be very helpful if you guys could list some telescopes that you recommend or if you know anything about the telescopes i listed. i'm looking to spend $1,000-1,500 for my telescope and what i'm interested in doing with my telescope is as follows: viewing the moon, viewing the planets, viewing galaxies and star clusters, astrotography and i would also like to be able to connect my laptop to it. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.

Default Not the Nexstar SE

Tyler,
For astrophotography, don't choose the Nexstar SE models. Even with a wedge they don't track well enough for long exposures. If possible, buy a telescope with an equatorial mount for the best photography results.
