Default Finder scope not staying aligned (Two Screws)

    Hi Everyone,

Can I ask for some help I have a finder scope 8 x 50 and the holder has two screws + one tension spring.

When I align the telescope with a bright star and then I align the finder scope, I use the two screws and center the object. When I move the telescope to another object the finder is out of alignment?? I make sure the "O Ring" is in place.

Any advice or tips to help me solve this...

    Steve Plenty.

There should be a indent near the front of the finder for the o-ring to sit in. If not put it about 1/3 of the tube length away from the lens and slide it into the holder.
Is the finder fitting snugly in the finder shoe?
What brand finder are you using?

Sometimes you will have to place a shim into the shoe so that it cannot move around.
