How/where did you attach the finder shoe to the L-bracket? https://agenaastro.com/agena-univers...ting-base.html

The horizontal flat bar has a slot where the dovetail receiver attaches. The binoculars have a small dovetail bar attached to the adjustable tripod attachment bar. The binocular with dovetail bar attached slides into the receiver on the top of the "L" bracket and is pushed as far out as possible in the slot in the bar leaving a gap between the binoculars and the vertical side of the "L" bracket. In this space on top of the "L" bracket I have placed the finder shoe. Because the binoculars can spin (adjustable tension) on top of the "L" bracket, you can easily lose alignment horizontally if you move them this way, I just move the mount around the tripod to make azimuth movements so have no problems losing alignment.
