Just got back in for a try on the Moon. At 133 magnification I got crisp sharp crater edges. This little scope shows virtually no violet color, even at 133 mag. I think it can go to 150 mag on the Moon/planets. For widest fov I use a Meade plossl 32mm, which is fine. However, higher then 44.4 mag, the stars look a little out of shape. I think because the Moon is brighter, I can get higher magnifications. What say you.

The lunar surface can usually take very high magnifications, normally more than any other target.

Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind. - Jon Isaacs (CN)
