    Default What did Santa bring?

If you got lucky, weren't a naughty boy or girl ( unless your spouse is into that sort of thing ) or someone knows your obsession really well what did you find under the Xmas tree this morning?

In the form of scrolls wrapped in a bow I found that Santa had ordered a few thing from amazon, a couple of great tshirt's and something I did not expect.

The scrolls contained pictures of a dew heater controller and a 4 port USB to cat ethernet extender

    The tshirt's were pretty cool..
"Astronomy 101. Wait until dark. Look up."
Evolution of man with the final stage looking through a telescope.

The one I didn't expect was from my sister. She clicked on the make this image into a cavas picture link from photo bucket of my orion nebula, Horsehead and flame and seven sisters images. If you have ever thought obout doing it I can tell you canvas is VERY forgiving.

    What was your astronomy haul?

My wife was nice and got me a bunch of things. I got an observing chair, 2x barlow, the 25mm ES eyepiece (the one that was on sale for $20), a green laser, and a red flashlight. I couldn't be happier! Well, I guess if it wasn't cloudy I would be happier...

I mainly got other hobby gear, such as ham radio books for packet and satellite radio. A kit to build my own radio, but still on back order. A few daddy gifts like my new slippers (my daughter gave them to me).

My only Astro-gear was a hardcase for my 20x80 binos. But my b'day is next month so who knows what else may come.

Couple a nice shirts, some great fleece zip-up jackets, and, while these aren't Christmas presents per se, they kinda sorta are...

In addition to the annual haul of t-shirts, socks and such my wife surprised me with a 9x50 RACI finder scope and Interstellarum Deep Sky Atlas.

Best part was having 2 of 3 kids here, surviving the hour with my folks and everyone being relatively chipper, able-bodied and copescetic. A few fun t-shirts, some new rpg dice (individually wrapped by Daughter/goofball), Collins book on night photography, new camera strap, a mandocello, RACI, green laser, 32mm plossl, 40mm plossl, Olll filter, lens pen and a random ham. LOL. Grateful. Has been a weird, wonderful, dangerous and cathartic year. Can't wait to see what next year brings! Happy Holidays/stuff procurement/surviving another year celebrations. Namaste.

Clear, dark skies and good will.
