    Default More Telescopes.com customer service.

I too had a small issue with my telescope. It's the Zhumell Z12. One of the adjustment screws for the finder scope had broken off inside the metal tube that holdes the finder scope. I removed the shaft of the screw from the hole with a tool my dad has for such things.

I called customer service and figured the could just ship the tiny thumb screw to me. They couldn't. They don't carry any spare parts. (He informed me they are going to start carrying these things in the Fall.)

They too offered to pick it up and send me a new one or give me a $15 credit back to the credit card it was ordered from. I took the credit and still need the screw, but I've yet to use the finder scope because the Telrad works so good!

That's pretty good in my books. They didn't have to do anything; they could have told you that would have to deal with the manufacturer of the telescope.

Thanks for the report. These things are good to know.

I ordered 2 celestron first scopes christmas 2010 for gifts.A temp worker made a mistake with my order. She said it shipped but it didn't.By the time I found out, they were out of stock. The cust service folks rushed my refund so I had my money back in pocket for other gifts.
Two weeks later ,the 2 scopes showed up at my house, free of charge.
Now I'm covered for a couple of birthday's!Pretty Cool!

Wow! Now that is what I call making up for their error and making the customer happy in the end. Good stuff!
