    Default Telescopes.com Customer Service

When I received my Z12 on Saturday the box looked like it had taken a couple of heavy hits, but I couldn't find any damage, although I could occasionally hear something small rattle around inside which left me a little unnerved. Well last night I found the culprit. Two tabs had broken off of the underside of the large dust cover for the open end. I found this when I noticed that the cover was not fitting as tight as I thought it should. I just called customer service at telescopes.com to see what we could do about it. I was told that they would be happy to have to unit picked up and would send me out a new one, or they would offer me a discount. I negotiated a $50 refund on the unit because of the cover. Just one more reason I will do business with them again.

    Tom,

I couldn't agree with you more about Hayneedle(telescopes.com). I just bought a complete setup from them and they ended up giving me a 7% discount on the bundle and had everything shipped promptly. They are very knowledgable and if they don't have an answer, they get one for you...

Now if only FedEx could delivery the boxes the same day.... Got everything today except the scope box. LOL Go figure.. Tomorrow is the big day though..

    Default Not a Hayneedle fan

    Sent this to Hayneedle yesterday:

"Gee, when I ordered this it stated that I would receive it on the 28th with ordinary delivery.

So, I wanted it by the weekend and paid over $100 to get it by Friday the 25th as stated by Hayneedle when I ordered it.
It got shipped. Tracking states that it will be delivered on the 28th.
    Thanks a lot,...........

    Charles B. "

Talking Maybe I should be red-faced.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Friday, March 25
I went skiing and was walking into a place for lunch when I found a message from the Fed Ex guy.
He had left with the boxes because he did not want to leave them outside my place. He left me his number, saying he was a day early and would be back Monday.
I called him. He was still nearby. When I got home the boxes were outside.
It is now on the tripod in my garage.

    Heavy clouds, more snow tonight.
At least I can read the manual while looking at the control.

Didn't come through for me. I wanted to order from them but I wanted them to ship via US Postal Service instead of FedEx. The reason is that FedEx charges large "clearing" fees that can really add up.

Telecopes.com refused to ship any other way except FedEx. So perhaps good service for US residents, but not for the rest of the world.

The only issue I've had with them is that they did not ship my order when I put in the wrong credit card, they did not even give me a phone call. I had to call them to refix this order. But otherwise, everything I've done with them has given them my thumbs up

Although, I have heard about problems with orders or damaged products with telescopes.com, I've always heard that they are great at correting the problem.

To this day, I haven't heard of a Z12 box that wasn't jacked up upon delivery. When I got mine, the box was kind of tore up as well. However, the goods looked ok.
