I have one and it is excellent. The only eyepiece I take out most nights. Much better than fumbling around in the dark trying different eyepieces to find the right magnification for the object and observing conditions.

Does this Hyperion Zoom work well with a Barlow lens?

I have used mine with an Ultima barlow .On my old 8" f6 dob it was a good combo .On my current 8.75" f7.3 it can be a bit hectic with the blackout's and kidney beaning, my head has to be perfectly placed.

I have this one and here is my take on it.

The Baader Hyperion 8-24mm Click Zoom is a single eyepiece that gives you the equivalent of 17 eyepieces from 8 mm to 24 mm.

With a 2x Barlow you can take it down to 4 mm so you now have the equivalent of every eyepiece from 4mm to 24mm.

Most nights it is all I take out. No changing of eyepieces and the refocusing is much easier after I change each setting.

They sell for about $215 US and has saved me a lot of money as I get into this hobby.

It is also nice not to have to fumble in the dark with multiple eyepieces to find the right magnification. Just a simple twist back and forth and you can quickly tell what the optimum viewing magnification is. Very quick to refocus after each change as well, unlike changing a whole eyepiece.
