I have one and I like it. I use it on a 8SE. At 8 mm it is 250x. Normaly for my viewing 150x is max.
It weighs 11.5 oz, That is 2x what many zooms weigh and 3x that of most small plossels. Don T.

I may have been one of them that brought the inventory down from 7 to 5. I received it the day before yesterday, haven't been able to test it yet because of constant snow and accompanying clouds, but looking through the window with it I think it's going to be excellent and very convenient. The quality looks superb. Very precisely built and very smooth when switching from one magnification to another. It is huge compared to the standard 1 1/4 eyepieces. I can't see where the size would be a detriment, but it is worth mentioning. -Mike

Afigueroa & Mike, congratulations in your decision to get the Hyperion zoom! Out of the 40 or so eyepieces that I have, it is my favorite #1 eyepiece - it's worth every cent paid for, enjoy!

    Best,

    Hernando
