    Default Garrett Optical

Cruising ebay and found these Garrett Optical lenses
    2inch, 26/32/38mm, with a respectable 71 AFOV
The web page has several pictures, and the EP's look very well made. It's also unusual to have so many pictures which only adds positively to my first impression.

Does anyone have any experience with these eyepieces?

I'd be willing to bet that the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of these eyepieces is
    Guan Sheng Optical

If so they should be just fine. American companies just slap their names on them, just like on their telescopes, which are also made in Taiwan....

Hi Keven z ...I agree with Matthew in the manufacturer is Taiwan ...If it were me and i needed some new eyepieces i would get them but you can buy them from a regular store for that price , or even a set of meade 4000's ...Oh yea , they are made in the same factory and look the same but might be a little different optically ...

Well, you got me looking closer and comparing. Outwardly they are very similar to the GSO Eyepieces.
I also found that outwardly they are identical to the Orion Q70 eyepieces. (doesn't GSO make Orion?)
I have experienced other products where a manufacturer will do a production run for one label and an identical run except with a different label, product is exactly the same.
However, the AFOV varies with the size of the Garretts, and the Orion Q70 specs are the same from eyepiece to eyepiece. Which leads me to believe that the Garretts might cut corners to reduce price.
I don't know, for 10 dollars more I think I would be better off the get the Orion's.
