Cool Got my new scope, now need to find some eyepieces

    Hello everyone!
Well, i got the Celestron 130SLT telescope!
I saw on the first night some clusters and Satrun.
The problem is that it was like a 1/8 size of my fingernail
so i decided to invest on eyepieces
my budget is really low because i need to get it shipped to israel ><
I allready got 25 and 9 so i decided to buy some OPT eyepieces in the sizes of 15mm and a 32mm+a 2x barlow.
i will buy a nebula-light filter, moon filter and some colors.
for the last i want to know how are the celestron 5mm x-cel ed eyepiece?
my higest usfull magnification is 260x, with a 5mm+a barlow X2 it will be a 260x.
i wanted to know if i will be able to see satrun bigger (for exemple, a fingernail) in my backyard with a nebula-city light filter+dew-light shieled with a 260x magnification? is it possible? what will be the qualty?

    thanks
    Or Cohen

If the atmosphere is steady enough you "might" be able to obtain 300x with your telescope. The image will be dim however.
Even at 350x in my telescope Saturn is still smaller than a fingernail.

Hi orof . There are some threads started on eyepiece selections . If you use the search feature at the top of the header you can find them ... If you get a barlow your 9mm will be a 4.5 mm and your 25mm will be a 12.5mm . Add a moon filter and a 32mm or 40mm and you would be set ...

dont worry, i will be getting a 32mm, but my question was:
i will be able to use a 260x magnification in my backyard (with light pollution)+a dew shieled thats helps to reduce the side-light pollution+a UHC Nebula Filter?

will the imge be sharp and good?

... the simple answer is "maybe" ... you will have a good image, and on some days when the "seeing" is particularly good you will have an excellent image ...

    ... hope that helps ...
