Well 2 of them say have the letters HM and made in JAPAN. Another that came with a Galileo scope I found a while ago, has the letters SR. Another has a Z inside a triangle, im guessing that could be Zhumell, also has JAPAN on it.

Id feel very stupid if those letters meant something specific to EPs xD

I think I remember reading somewhere that this barrell size was so that EP's could be inter changed between microscopes and telescopes. Please correct me if I'm wrong. However astronomers needed EP's with more eye relief and a wider FOV so they went to the bigger dimensions.

Oh really? I was actually thinking of that before, because I have an old microscope that I used to use, and the EP looked like it would fit in the microscope.

But yes, its alot harder to see with the .965s xD when I switcehd back to the 1.25s it was such a relief haha

I dont know what the letters mean , but anything optic wise that is old and made in japan is useualy of great quality . I highly doubt the z means zhumell .

Ah well I found the manufacturer. Its Konus. Oh and I also have some Meade and Galileao Barlows.

"Konus was founded in 1979 in Verona, a city in the North of Italy. Since the start Konus had a clear vision of the company: they want to provide high quality and functional products, supported by a complete service, in order to gain the total consumer satisfaction. Through the years this vision has become the company's mission. Konus has expanded globally through a network of subsidiaries and distributors. Konus developed different product categories that complete each other."

Oh sad to hear. Well these look pretty old and are fully metal, so theyre nice and strong feeling.

And btw, is there anything wrong with that site where the GSO barlow is at? You seemed like you really didnt want to buy it from there. Im plannig to buy from there.

No nothing wrong with the site as far as i have heard . I just dont like mail order , I would rather have it whene i put the money up , as i have a scope shope 40 miles away . Its close enough to get in trouble but far enough away to keep a few dollars in the pocket .

    howdy all

.965 to 1.25 adapters are called Hybrid Diagonals. I have a couple of them, well one now because Vinnie has my other one.
Ff you happen to have an older scope these Hybrid diagonals are just the ticket.
