Nope! I owned a share of the ES100s and enjoyed them.

I am like many (not all, many ) jumped on ES82 wagon awhile ago. There are a lot of things going for them. I still believe they are one of sharpest EPs around, and the coatings are great for DSOs. However, one by one most of them got replaced in my main set by other brands. Not because ES82 are bad, but other EPs serve better my observing styles.
My issue with the ES100s was that the scattered light control was IMHO not up to the TV Ethos line. However I deemed the TV Ethos to be too expensive.

Now I know better not to hang on any particular brand, and pick one EP at the time. Still people getting into premium EP realm need somewhere to start. More often than not I keep recommending ES82, because they are safe bet. They perform well in all scope designs, they priced well for the good performance they deliver, and they have a good resale value. So, once you ready to try something different it is easy to sell and move money in next EP.
Having had two sets of TV Naglers I've decided that what I REALLY hate is the 82 degree AFOV format! That's something I can come out and say!

Untrue, though, I understand you are making a jest. Seriously though, for me its more a matter of economic policy. Everything in my signature was purchased with value in mind and almost without exception everything was gotten either used or on some sort of sale. I have no animosity with ES, its just that the idea of spending $200+ on a single eyepiece is anathema to me.

Actually, my favorite at the moment is my Meade smoothie, the pseudo-Masuyama. So, I share JG's sentiment:
