According to my tests, the BCO 6mm can be barlowed quite well with the Baader Q-Turret triplet Barlow.
It has worked on some globular cluster, but it would not make sense on the planets I guess.

Here might be better the Baader 3.6mm Symmetric Diascope Edition, optimized for F/6 and slower refractors,
    like the Zeiss Diascope F/6

Most of the today manufactured designs bellow 5mm are barlowed.
The Baader Eudiascopic 3.8mm is also barlowed.

    Best,

    JG
I forgot I have a 3.2mm StarGuider lol. I think anything around 3mm will need some sort of internal Smyth/Barlow. I was just trying to imagine using a 3mm Abbe orthoscopic.

Here ya go: [FOR SALE] televue 55 plossl - IceInSpace He has been trying to sell it for a couple of months, so perhaps you could ask him if he could post to the UK (apart from the Heathrow problem...).

Cheers Dean lol. Too late I'm afraid. A 55mm TV Plossl with my name on it is winging its way to me as we speak. Mind you, there's plenty of time and opportunity for Postman Pat and his black and white cat to lose it.

If you're reading this Postman Prat stop faffing about with my eyepiece. And if that cat craps on my lawn it's toast!

Good luck, and looking forward to hearing how it goes: that is assuming Postman P(r)at is on the ball.

    You can say that again.

One could put 2.4mm to a good use in F5 scope, but what about 1.6mm? Are there F3 scopes?
