I've been wanting to try the DeLites, but I'm afraid that will be another EP "rabbit hole" that I will descend into.

We are already deep enough, plus minus a few EPs would not even make a dent. . I picked a couple of Delites used. After testing them over the summer side by side with my other EPs, they have replaced ES82 8.8mm and 11mm in my main DSO set. Yep, they are good.

    Hello all,

I have checked the DeLites, and here are some of them around 25% down, but still expensive.
They are certainly pretty good, as they are declared as diffraction limited,
it might be understood as no added CA and no added spherochromatism, as the cheap makes suffer from.

    Best,

    JG

In image quality they are very close to good Orthos. I need more time to figure out if they as good as Orthos, or slightly worse or better.

What makes me willing to pay more is the EP design and ergonomics. They are compact and lightweight. Eyeguard design is good, you can set it at preferred position and fix it there. Very comfortable viewing even with glasses on, 20mm ER and 62 deg FOV. I can easily see sharp field stop and thus whole 62 deg with glasses on, while with ES82 I can see only about 55 deg of 82 deg due to short effective ER.
