However, I could not resist the offer from the manufacturer for an ex-demo, boxed with documents.
This happens once in life: take that eyepiece, or forget it.

This Docter will compete with the Zeiss D 30x/40x B WW (f=12.8mm, 68°), which is another masterpiece among the eyepieces for the fast spotting refractors, and of course with the f=12.5mm 40° KK Fujiyama Abbe ortho (Tak rebrand).

    Best,

    JG
Yeah, definitely a case of carpe diem. Bill Paolini says the 12.5mm Docter is the best 12.5mm eyepiece ever manufactured. Oddly I was looking at Venus this morning with my 12.5mm Kokusai ortho' for 100x.

A bit smaller than a Docter lol.

Is that a belt pouch it comes with? Holster that eyepiece!

Now I am jealous. I want a holster for my eyepieces.

    Hello Shorty Barlow,

I really enjoy the day of today, carpe diem.

The 12.5mm Abbe ortho is an excellent eyepiece, and I will certainly keep it, and so the Zeiss.

    Best,

    JG
