This is probably how I'm likely to approach this. Not to mention, it's a relative facsimile of the ES 30mm, new, for $100 less.

Really? We never know. He seemed all right, except for when it came to grammar. Must have been an English teacher. So, like, you should probably advertise these things so the rest of us don't make the same mistakes. Its like at work, where I'm am member of the "Terminated Employees" mailing group, I see who gets fired but never know why.

Bryan and I already had a friendly discussion about exit pupil over a 31mm Luminos:

I'm pretty sure I can still handle a 6mm exit pupil - besides, I may one day own a long frac with a 2" focuser where it won't be 6. Of course, Devourer of Galaxies would probably tip the whole tripod over. And If its a bust, I'm also pretty sure I can recoup most of the money.

Should be fine, Don. My 30mm puts out a 6mm exit pupil in my 12". I don't use it much in that scope, but it is absolutely wonderful in my 2" focuser fracs.

There is something Freudian about that. So, I suggest your unconscious self has already made the decision.

Oh yes that would be an awesome eyepiece in an AT 130EDT with the 2 inch setup.......Exit pupil would be under 6 for sure probably more in the 3 to 4 range....

What is this "I don't really need.." of which you speak?

Completing a set of collectible and useful EPs with the crowning glory of the 30mm is definitely a need.

And every time you use it, you can say, "Bring up the Holy Hand Grenade!" Trust me, you will love that and so will your family and friends.
