    Default Eyepiece Dilemma

Hello to one and all! I was wondering, if collectively, I could get your feedback on upgrading my optics. I recently used a 24mm Baader Hyperion 68 degree EP. I really enjoyed the views. Anyone have experience with Baader Hyperions or any other suggested EP's that will enhance my visual experience. Thanks, in advance, for your input.

Just a word of advice, all scopes have different requirements, you might want to put your scope and accessories in your signature line, what way folks could give you more accurate help. johnnyb

I use Orion Stratus 8mm,13mm,21mm, Baader 36mm with my XT8 and have found them to be good for what I want to do. As carter 2002 pointed out add your equipment information, it's big help to all looking at you posts.

Hi, can't help you with the eyepieces on that Mak, I'm sure someone will. If you want to put what you have in your signature, go to SETTINGS at the top right, on that page look for Edit Signature in the left hand column. I'm somewhat a newbie too, hope this helps. johnnyb

I purchased a used 24mm Hyperion and compared it to the other vintage eyepieces I have that are close to it. Televue and Vernonscope to be exact. It did not hold up well against them but it was a finely made eyepiece for something newer made. I would only buy one used if I were to buy one again and the price was right.

The Mak will work well with just about any EP design. You just need to decide on a budget and how wide of design an EP you want to buy. Personally, I like the ES 68 degree EPs with my Mak, but the 60 degree Celestron X-Cel LXs are quite nice in it as well.

Yeah Hyperion eyepieces will work well for this scope. Also the Stratus series is an identical design so will work equally well.
