Default So these guys showed up today...

Therefore rain is forecast through Monday. My initial impression is good, finish is good, nothing noticeable on the glass or floating around inside. The eyecups feel a bit thin. Are they worth the 60 bucks I paid? We'll see as soon as I can get some starlight through them. Stay tuned.

Nothing like getting a "good" deal. I think you will like them. Yesterday I was using an old Orion 32mm on a new to me ST80mm and I was amazed at the feather detail I saw. Older Plossel EP while not "wides" are often good. $60, sounds like a deal to me, they look new.

I have the full set of 4000 series down to 4.5mm
I think they are good value. They seem a little short on eye relief when they get down to short fl.

I am sure they will work nicely for you. Just for fun can you measure, their height (with eye guard folded), field stop and weight (if you have a weight scale)? Just curious if they change anything other than the letters color.

Sure thing. As soon as I can find an implement to do so with reasonable accuracy.

I also may have picked a 26mm off CN. White label also. Waiting to hear back from the guy.

Field stops are hard to get cause the field lens is sunk in the barrel a ways, these are the best measurements I could get:

    32MM
    Height: 76mm
    Field Stop: 27mm

    40MM
    Height: 98mm
    Field Stop: about 30mm

No weights, we through all the scales out of the house for... reasons.

Field stops on mine are about the same, but EP sizes somewhat different:

32mm - 78mm, 40mm - 90mm. Seems they have change more than just letter colors.
