I have worries. The last time something was in the USPS system for an unexplainably long time it was destroyed.

Pretty sure, the Pony Express was disbanded in 1861. Mail has been shaky here ever since....

Well I got a delivery notice on my phone and the item is in hand. Packing looks intact. It’s clear but too windy to observe. Generator not working so will conserve battery. With 500,000 out of power it’ll be a while before they get to me.

Are the cloud gods providing high wind and clear skies because it’s an ortho?

Having received the delivery notice I decided to pick up the package at the local PO. As I made passage down the drive I cleared fallen branches out of the way until I came to a tree square across the path. It was definitely too big to move. I noticed that there was some damage to the tree in the middle and removed the upper end only which left me enough space to get around.

At the PO package was intact and pristine. After signing for it I decided a hot meal would be nice so I drove to the next larger town about 10 miles away where I made the previous post and had a burger. Returning home the light was already poor. So I put the package to the side while I built a fire.

This morning: lights, camera, breakfast! (Salmon teriyaki, steel cut oats, a berry melange, green tea, one of my favorites.)

Here is the intact package and several layers of unwrapping

Will do as soon as possible. It's still windy enough that seeing is forecast to be very bad (1/5) so.....

Apparently they treat envelopes better than boxes, or just like you better.

Nothing good to report on the first light for mine - We had a decent looking clear sky until you got to the EP. The seeing was blessed awful here last night. Couple that with the moon beaming away it wasn't the best of conditions. Oh well, it was a night out without a parka & bad night out is preferred to no night out right now.

The only thing I really picked up was the eye relief is long on the 25mm - maybe I'm too used to really getting into the EP.
Looked it up, 22.2mm, of eye relief, more than 7/8". It will take some getting used to.
    Moving on.......
