    Default new eeps!

new batch of EPs got here today.

it's going to be a while before i've got the franklins to put together a set of naglers in the sizes i really want, but these will hopefully fill in a couple of holes that have been bothering me. as a side note, agena got these to my door surprisingly quickly.

    20171204_135336.jpg

GSO SuperView 20mm - i haven't read anything bad about this line of EPs and i really wanted something a bit shorter than a 32mm for a baseline DSO EP. i'm really looking forward to the 68˚ FOV, all of my current EPs are 52˚ plossls.

BST 4mm - i know it's pretty specialized, but i've wanted an EP that was closer to my maximum magnification than the 12mm. we'll have a lot of freezing, clear nights this month and i'm hoping this thing will help to resolve some of the more distant messiers. this was the first i'd heard of BST, but it was in the right price range, and some of the comments were seriously sold on this line.

    now bring on the clouds!

that's probably not a bad idea, i don't usually do much for signatures but it makes sense here, hehe..

it's an 8" f/4.9 orion tube on an exos-2. i've also got a pretty extensively tweaked 127eq that i'd like to use for a bit of outreach as soon as i can find a deal on a non-craptacular eq mount.

You may need to add a second chicken.
i'm going to start getting some strange looks if i ever find a local club. that being said, they've got many different sizes of chickens on amazon. one of them is 23"...

Let me know how the BST goes. I have been eyeing them as well, also looking for something to max out my magnification on those rare nights
