    Default Excited for Christmas!

I've been away from the forum for a while, so I apologize. I started a medical podcast about 6 months ago and it has distracted me from browsing the forum, but I am still active with the telescope.

I found out that one of my co-workers has a C11 scope and we have gone out a few times to a nearby dark area. Last week he texted me and said, "Did you see the sell on Explore Scientific Eye Pieces?"

Since it is Christmas time, and since I already had the ES 82 degree 18mm eyepiece on my Christmas list, I sent my wife a text with the link, a text with the savings, a text saying it was limited quantities, and a text saying to buy it now. I then said, ever so subtly, "You should buy this right now before they go out of stock.

Fast forward to today. My wife stopped and picked up the mail and had a package. I asked her what it was as she was opening it. She said, "I have no idea, I don't recognize the sender. It is from Agena Astro." I said, "oh, thanks for the Christmas present!" She felt bad telling me my present, but at least I know she took my not-so-subtle hints. That was the only telescope thing I asked for, so let's hope it is the ES 18mm eyepiece!

Very nice, Carl! That eyepiece and the AD12 are like peas and carrots. Awesome!

You should take it out and test it, you know, in case there's anything wrong and it needs to go back before you wrap it and put it under the tree. A couple sessions totaling some hours should be sufficient to pick up any defects....

It is funny you mention that. When I got the AD12 a few years ago, it was a Christmas present that came in November. I actually did just that to make sure it was ok...

I called your wife today. She said she found a 15mm Kellner on FleaBay and the seller said it was better than the 18mm ES.

(Just kidding. Congratulations. It's the best eyepiece I've ever used... I have two of 'em.)
