You should take it out and test it, you know, in case there's anything wrong and it needs to go back before you wrap it and put it under the tree. A couple sessions totaling some hours should be sufficient to pick up any defects....

It is funny you mention that. When I got the AD12 a few years ago, it was a Christmas present that came in November. I actually did just that to make sure it was ok...

I called your wife today. She said she found a 15mm Kellner on FleaBay and the seller said it was better than the 18mm ES.
