    Default Stacking barlows . . .

I have an Orion 2X shorty barlow. I just ordered a TV 2.5X Powermate. I don't expect to see much difference, I just thought the powermate might be a little clearer for imaging through my 8" SCT. Then I started wondering. I wonder what would happen if I tried to stack the two? Would the two different styles work? I imagine they would overpower my SCT, but would they work on my ED 80mm Triplet? Does anyone have an idea?

meanwhile . . . I am just waiting on my new powermate.

Why would you want to when that gets you to a focal length close to the native length of the SCT without the benefit of the extra aperture and making it even slower?
