Default Question for BP Hyperion Owners

A quick question - I just picked up a 10mm Hyperion, and noticed that it does not have the green ring as depicted on the box and on the website. The EP works fine, should I be worried or is it just manufacturing variation?

    Thanks

I'd suspect manufacturing variation - looks as though they put a silver ring on instead of green. My 13mm looks the same except that the ring is a gold colour, so I suspect they probably just put the wrong colour ring on.

That's not like Baader to do. This was brand new stock?

I'm really getting the feeling that theses color bands are not eyepiece specific now that I'm looking. I now see an 8mm with a green band on the box. This is not making sense..lol

According to the image on the box, which matches the image on their website, 5mm is turquoise, 8mm is dark green, 10mm is lighter green, 13mm is yellow, 17mm is yellow-gold, 21mm is red and 24 looks like bronze. Mine was brand new stock and has either a silver-gray ring or is missing the colored ring completely. I bought it from a German astronomy shop about 150km from the BP main office. I also sent BP an email inquiry, I am not real concerned with it actually, the EP works great.
