I was trying to resist hard, but finally gave up to the Holiday spending spirit and ordered 16mm ES68 .

Congrats! It looks a tiny eyepiece. It'll be interesting to hear how it performs compared to the 24mm.

    The red emphasis is mine.

Looking at Bigzmey's signature, I see that he already has the 20mm and 24mm 1.25" ES68° eyepieces.

Perhaps he can use the attached photos to gauge the size of the 16mm 1.25" ES68° eyepiece that he has just ordered.

I have the 24mm 1.25" ES68° which is by no means a large eyepiece and by comparison, the 16mm sure looks to be a dinky little thing. It is oft said that big surprises come in small packages.

Aww. Cute little thing . I ordered it ~1:30pm and it was shipped 2 hours later . Too bad that I have to wait for Christmas to use it.

Agreed! Put a EP sized rock in the box to give it a little heft, of course.

I sure do like mine. It was sort of a tag along in my larger scopes, but came to its own with my little f/5 refractor somehow. It is a little bigger than a 15 or 20 mm Plossl.
