Default What are the letters in front of an eyepiece's number?

The collection of eyepieces that came with my first telescope had two eyepieces designated as K (K25, K10) and one that was designated SR (SR4). I came across another set of eyepieces designated as H (H20, H10). I have often wondered if these letters mean something, so I will ask the experts here -- Do these have any meaning?

pictures are almost always taken afocally using my XT6 with a 25 mm eyepiece, 0.5x focal reducer, and a Fuji point and shoot camera.

Thanks for that. With those names, I could go to Wikipedia to get a description of each design: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eyepiece

By the way, if in these days a scope comes with H or SR eyepieces, it is better to stay away from that telescope.
And even some K, MA (Modified Achromat) or SMA (Super modified Achromat)
