    Default ES 82 18mm

    Hi,

Ive found a used but mint condition ES 82 18mm 2" but would like to double check there are not different versions.

There are 2 pictures, one has writing across the bottom "china" above the metal sleeve below a code "SN:821801813" and the other in its packaging but with a sticker with A written on it that i can see, the rest of the sticker is obscured, so that would be "Ar"? The brand new eyepieces the same seem to say "N2" in the title with N2 or Ar on a sticker is there a reason for this?

    Thanks

Both are purged. One is filled with Nitrogen the other with Argon, both are extremely good and I would buy either without hesitation.

Yup. The older ones are purged with Nitrogen, the new Argon. Absolutely no differences in quality.

I found my barely used Nitrogen purged 18mm on Ebay and ended up getting it for $112.00. Perfect condition and my favorite eyepiece.
