Default Explore Scientific 82° Eyepiece Kit

Just received four Explore Scientific 82° eyepieces, and can't wait for a clear night. For those who might be interested in these eyepieces, I'm attaching some pictures.

They came beautifully packaged in unopened shrink-wrapped boxes from High Point Scientific.

They are beautifully made and seem to be very high quality. The 30mm is heavy, but nothing like as heavy as the 31mm Luminous I recently returned to B&H Photo. Please excuse the evidence of a very bad habit.

A nice looking Tenba case is supplied, but the padding is thin and there is none on the cover. Also as you can see the cover is see through...

My nicely padded Lowepro camera bag will have to do for now, but I see a proper case in the near future.

I know it's showing of, but I am so thrilled I could't stop myself.

Enjoy the new glass! My ES 82 18mm & 8.8mm arrived today!

By the way, your photos didn't attach. Might have to resize them to get under the 1.91 mb limit.

Gratz on the new glass! Did Luminos 30mm under-performed optically or just was too heavy?

It's very heavy and there is no eyepiece cup, which I found a little odd feeling. You twist the body and the whole top of the eyepiece extends. The picture attached is an older 15mm, but the principle is the same.

I had the 10mm and the 2.5x barlow as well, and they all went back to B&H. Also, not a reason to send them back, but the packaging had been opened on all of them and there were no warranty cards. Irked me a little.
