Default The ES Eyepieces have Arrived

My bride sent me a message today that my new ES 82deg kit had arrived today. So like a little kid at Christmas I came home after work and tore into the shipping box. There they were. I inboxed each one and found a place for them in my carry case. I was surprised at the size of the 30mm 2" eyepiece. It's huge. Unfortunately the first light will have to wait since THE CLOUDS HAVE ROLLED IN and are expected to be here for a few days. Apparently the cloud gods kept my bribe and set clouds anyways...

Congrats on the new glass, Mark! Awesome!

Seems like the average wait time for first light on these is about 9 days. Some folks have been able to get outside right away, but their time is coming.

Nice! I received my ES 8.8 last Friday and was able to use it but the sky was not my friend that night. It has since clouded up here in Middle California.
How do you like your Baader gear? The Hyperion series has me interested.

Congrats on the new eyepieces! You got the whole kit, so if you only have a few days of clouds you're probably doing pretty good.

    It comes with a 30mm 2", a 18mm 2", a 11mm 1.25" and a 6.7mm 1.25". Next sale I'll have to fill in the gaps.

I really like Baader products. I've never had a problem with any of them. As for the Hyperion line the first lens I purchased after I bought my scope was the zoom lens. It has good contrast and sharpness. The low power end is around 50deg at 24mm and the high power end is around 68deg at 8mm. I have not used the fixed lenses but have heard good things about them. As for the Barlow the times I've used it have resulted in mixed results. Mostly because of difficult seeing conditions.
