    Default Sold out :(

So I bought a ES 30mm ep about two days before the sale started. Luckily the guys at OPT are awesome and when I called they gave me some store credit for the difference. Today I finally called to order a couple of the ES that are on sale but they were all out. Even a local shop here is pretty much sold out of the ES eyepieces at the moment. Well since I had been playing with the idea I went ahead and bought another Delos. This is the 17.3 which I think will slot in nicely between my ES 30mm and my other Delos the 12mm. So next week hopefully will have a good night of weather to go use it.

Now I'm down to one left to buy, a high power ep, been thinking about the 6mm or even the 4.5mm.

I think you will get more telescope time with the 6mm or maybe the 5.5mm. The ES 5.5 is a very nice eyepiece!

Thanks for the suggestions all. I had a credit at OPT so that is why I went ahead and ordered the Delos from them. After thinking about it some more I enjoy the longer eye relief so I think I will order the 6mm Delos and that will complete my ep collection for now

I am out of town next week and my ep comes in on Tuesday so I'll have to wait til next weekend and hope there is some nice weather. Fingers crossed!

The other long eyerelief eyepieces that might be worth tracking down are the Pentax XW 7mm (171x) or XW 5mm (240x), depending on what is useful in your conditions, although the Delos 6mm is superb as well.

The Meade 5000 5.5mm waterproof EP is very nice in my 8 inch Dob. It was a steal at the sale price of $103 a couple of months ago. Still a good price at $130 IMO.
