There better not be, at least for tonight!!!! Clear Sky is indicating a clear sky with temps in the low 50's here and it's been about 1.5+ months since I've been able to get out a large scope (had the ST80 for a few quickies).

Almost forgot , congrats on that storm causing pineapple you have on order. I love mine but all kidding aside be careful with it as my diagonal on my AR102 suddenly did a 180 the first time I used it but thankfully the lens didn't fall out. And if I haven't jinxed anything with his post, it'll be out tonight

    Good luck

The Weather Channel must have gotten the memo. The forecast last night shortly after midnight called for a coolish, but mostly dry week with lots of "partly cloudy" days. Checked same forecast again 10 minutes after ordering the EP and bam! A big, nasty, wet windy storm (with some snow thrown in for good measure) is being predicted for the middle of the week!

"Pineapple" is the perfect word for my new EP. I put it next to my coffee mug when I got it, and I thought of the Jaws movie, and said to myself, "we're gonna need a bigger telescope. "

Congratulations on the new pineapple and storm coming your way, Wings !

We have clouds and rain for the next four days in north Alabama. Next clear night will be Thursday. Well, at least the temperatures will be nice.

After nosing around a few weather sites I figured out where this sudden change in our local forecasts originated. Apparently the major winter storm forecast to follow the path of the previous few from near the Gulf and on up the East Coast next week had a change of mind and is now expected to curve north straight into the Great Lakes instead. Still can't get over how fast the predicted path changed, it was literally minutes after I hit the purchase button! The cloud gods must be on to me....
