    Default new eyepieces set

    Hi everyone,

I own an Orion Uk (Orion Optics) newtonian 300/1200 (F4) with hyperion 24mm and 8mm. I owned previously a skywatcher 200/1000 with those eyepieces.
Now that I own a scope of great quality, i can see the difference and I feel my eyepieces "too cheap". The 24mm is ok but really disappointed with the 8mm a lot of coma and not very sharp image...
Now I would like to change my eyepiece set. I had the chance to test nagler eyepieces and I have to say I was impressed (it was not with my scope though). Problem is: the price is impressive too !!!
I also could have a try with an ES 82° 24mm and it was very good !
Tell me if I'm wrong but I was thinking:
    - ES 82 24mm
    - ES 82 18mm
    - Nagler T6 5mm
    - Televue powermate
That would cost me around 750 euros (1000 dollars)

    I'm opened to any advice

    thanks for reading

I don't see anything wrong with your list. I think that you're always going to have a bit of coma with the f/4 scope.

Indeed, with fast scopes like mine, I'll always have a bit of coma even with great quality eyepieces.
If coma is too present, I guess I'll have to use a paracorr...
Does anyone have any experience with ES 82 eyepieces with a similar scope as mine?

    Hello Tetemagique,

the TeleVue Nagler is at the moment on sale at Teleskop-Express: Televue Nagler 5mm 1,25 82 Field Type6 - EN6-05.0
Worth of considering are the Pentax XW. You can get them at Optique Boutique Unterlinden Oculaires Pentax XW a bit cheaper than in Germany, or Mark Ludes has a special offer Pentax XW Okulare | Archiv Biete-Board | Astronomie.de

I know, that's where I intend to buy it

I agree, Pentax XW are amazing EP, however the price is too heavy... 70 euros more expensive than the Nagler. At the beginning I wanted to purchase an ES 82 4.7mm, but I'm sure I'll be happier with the Nagler
