Default 32mm Orion Sirius Plossl vs GSO 1.25" Plossl

Being very new to Astronomy I am looking to get a 32 mm 1.25 eyepiece for my 1st Scope, a starmax 90. I have read some good things about the GSO eyepiece and many said if performs as well as others in the same price range. Just wondering if anyone has any 1st hand experience with them and is it worth the extra cost for the Orion. The Starmax came with a 10 mm and 25 mm plossl but based on recommendations from this board some say a 32 mm plossl is a must addition and will get some addional FOV.

I have the GSO 32mm plossl. The thing I found uncomfortable originally that I have since gotten used to is that in my 90mm refractor I need to keep my eye well back from the rubber cup to see the complete FOV. Not with my 8" Dob. With that I can rest on the rubber cup and see the complete FOV. I don't know if all 32mm plossls are the same. Other than that the view is very nice. It's mostly for low magnification scanning and taking in some larger clusters like the Pleiades. It works well.

I have a Orion Highlight 32mm Plossl and am very pleased with it as it has nice contrast and gives sharp views. Definitely my most used eyepiece so I don't regret the extra $ spent on it. Having said that, the Celestron Omni 32mm Plossl is almost identical (it may in fact be the same eyepiece, just finished and branded differently) and costs less.

Update...Just ordered the 32 mm GSO Saturday from GSO 1.25" Plossl Eyepiece - 32mm
for $36.00 with free shipping. I can't believe I got it today, Monday. First impressions are unbelievable. The packaging is great. Came in a box with 2 lens caps and a plastic bag. Also, it has a nice plastic treaded carrier with form cushions on both ends making it great for transporting. Only tried it on terrestrial view but so far it really looks like a great deal for the price. On balance I see no difference between this and the Orion selling for $60.00. Based on their service, quality, I will be ordering their 15 mm to complete my eyepiece inventory. This will give me a 10,15,25, and 32. I have attached a pic.GSO2.jpg
