    Default Many ES Eyepieces Available...

There's been lots of grumbling about backorders and unavailability of Explore Scientific eyepieces. I understand your grief. I love mine! For you, if you're ready to move on one/some, here's some good news. From Don Pensack at http://EyepiecesEtc.com

    Bob,

At this time, ES is getting in small shipments at a time.
Ergo, I get some of my backorders, they sell out nearly instantly and I am out of stock until their next shipment.
Temporarily, I had all of the 68, 82, 100, and 120 degree eyepieces.
Now, after only a few days, I am out of stock on:
    16mm x 68,
    6.7mm x 82
    11mm x 82
and I am down to only 1 left of the 24mm x 68, the one that was out of stock for a year, and which ES is out of stock again.
So, as of this day, I AM in stock on:
    4.7mm, 8.8mm, 14mm, 18mm, 24mm, 30mm in 82 degree
    20mm, 24mm, 28mm, 34mm, 40mm in 68 degree
    9mm, 14mm, 20mm, 25mm in 100 degree
    9mm in 120 degree
    and 2X, 3X, 5X 1.25" focal extenders and 2X 2" focal extenders

And, as you know, unlike a lot of American retailers, I do ship to all of Europe and many other countries in the world.

    Thanks,
    Don

Hello Bob. A nice update on ES eyepiece availability, as I am still looking for a couple of them myself. This is good information to have about the current status of Eyepieces Etc. And, I am sure that most of the other ES vendors are experiencing a very similar situation. Thanks for the report Bob, and best of regards.

My shop woodland hills camera and telescope has a bloody shelf full of them from the 4.7 to the 24mm in 82* and the hard to find 14mm. seems there was a flood at some point recently... Made me miss mine when I saw them today.

I think the Explore Scientific eyepiece shortage may be akin to the Cabbage Patch's at Christmas time of 1983. Marketing logic says Increased shortages = increased demand. IE, I want what I cant easily get. Great eyepieces and customer support though. Good to know they are working on supply.

Agena Astro Products also has many of the ES available. I just ordered and received the 11mm, 18mm and 24 mm 82 deg eyepieces.
