    Default Agena swa or ewa???

Hi. Looking at these to use in an 8" sct; 9mm ewa or 10mm swa, 15mm either ewa or swa. Any opinions between these two lines? looking for good fov and decent eye relief, not a glasses wearer. Thanx for any help, tk

I've got the 15mm SWA that I use with a 6" dob, and I'd highly recommend it. A little wider FOV and it's only $8 more, which I think is a deal. Honestly, I think you'll like either one, Agena has good EPs cheap. I just think you might as well go for the one with a slightly larger FOV since it's only $8.

The highest power eyepiece I even carry in my eyepiece case wen I use my C8 is a 8.5 60 degree Pentax XF...and baby it does not get a heck of a lot of use...My 10 mm is a 68-70 degree FOV eyepiece which can be used almost every night... so from my own experience go with a 10 mm for high USABLE Power on a normal night...

As far as super vs ewa (Ultra wide angle ?) ..gotta ask you why you would even want a ultra wide angle High powered eyepiece.. all that will do is make the object (like a planet) appear smaller in the FOV then it would in a regular plossl eyepiece...because you will be seeing a lot more of the sky...

With a non tracking scope like a manual Dob the wide angle high power may be helpful so you can keep the object in the fov however...
