Exclamation Do i remove lens for collimation??

    Hi all,

    Just popping the question,
Do i remove the lens at bottom of focal tube to collimate?
If not will it tamper with laser ray towards primary?

This prior to receiving collimater tomorrow,
it crossed my mind i may need to!

    Thanking you,

    Steve,...

If this is a Bird Jones style reflector-- with the barlow type lens built into the focuser -- YES remove it and collimate then put it back in.

    Thanks Joe,

Oh it, the 127 eq i,m on!
Got it into collimation with HM collimator but ordered the
    laser for more frequent collimating!
Seem to think it was out of collimation since the day i got it1

Is that lens at bottom of focuser tube put in to reduce length of tube and still maintain FL?
