    Exclamation Zoom Rattle?

I posted i light report a few days ago and haven't got a reply so ill try again lol
-- I recently purchased an Orion Explorer II 21-7mm Zoom EP, tried it out and it seemed okay, but some of the flaws im seeing arent the same thing i've read about them from other users reviews across the web...

--- SOOO, Does anyone have this same EP? if so, does yours have a slight rattle to it when shaken lightly??? Having so many internal parts i can 'see' were there might be a little play between fitting parts on an economy EP.. I d like to know before i send it back to Orion.

    Thx ya'll

My Celestron zoom rattles a bit, but I haven't found it to be a problem.

You might want to give Orion a call and discuss it with them before you return it.

Same here with my own Hyperion 8 - 24mm Zoom. I think most would have some slack, too tight and it would be hard to use the range. I would still call, if not just to give you piece of mind.

I have the Zhumell version 8/24mm zoom. It too rattles when shaken lightly.

It's not like I'm shaking it like a maraca, but just turning it in my hand I can hear the slightest rattle or movement inside.
