Default Zhumell 2" 30mm vs Orion Q70 AFOV

    Hi,

I have a Z8 with the included 30mm 2" wideview EP. I tried searching the forums but apparently the word "Q70" is too short to search so I have to resort to posting a question.

Anyway, this is for owners of both the Zhumell 30mm 2" and Orion Q70 EP. Is there any real difference as far as quality and AFOV? I'm wanting a wider AFOV and I can't seem to find any specs on the Zhumell EP. I only found specs on GSO Superwide 30mm which some people say is the same as the Zhumell, just rebranded. True?

I'm not wanting to pluck down $75.00 (US) for a Q70 if the Zhumell 30mm is about the same as the Q70. I saw Orion does have a 82 degree EP now but it is about $150 (out of my budget).

Any insights or ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Dave

    Default 30mm EP

I'm sure the GSO and Zhumell are the same. I have a 16mm 100degree Zhumell that I received with my Z8. Use it most of the time. I'm new to the game but the quality seems very good. The 16mm came with a Telerad in the deluxe package.
